Ashley Johnson is a Black queer New Yorker, bonus parent, and lifelong Knicks fan committed to racial equity, justice, and organizational healing. As a racial equity trainer and transformative justice practitioner, they help organizations embrace values that heal trauma and foster sustainable change.
With 20+ years of experience in community organizing, curriculum development, and leadership coaching, Ashley specializes in facilitating dynamic, play-centered learning spaces. Their work includes contributions to Race Forward and the Center for Justice Innovation.
Ashley emphasizes adaptive leadership, cultural congruence, and values-based decision-making to drive lasting change. In addition to their role as Director of Training and Capacity Building, they are a reiki practitioner, healing justice facilitator, and founding board member of the Center for Mental Health and Wellness in Compton, California.
